A custom oil portrait of a laughing baby girl with a yellow bow and blue eyes, framed in a gold picture frame

Timeless oil portraits of the people you love most.

Hand-painted heirloom portraits created from your favorite photographs.

There’s something deeply special about preserving memories in the form of a painting. An oil portrait holds a moment still, allowing it to be enjoyed year after year. Imagine how much you would treasure a painting of your grandmother holding your mom as a baby, or you and your sibling holding hands when you were little. Painted portraits are the kinds of pieces that stay with a family, carrying meaning from one generation to the next, quietly growing more valuable with time.A hand-painted portrait brings warmth, depth, and a sense of meaning and connection into your home. The richness of oil paint, with its soft blending and luminous color, creates a presence that feels alive in a way photographs often don’t. A painting quickly becomes a focal point that guests are drawn to, and something you find yourself returning to again and again.

Meet the Artist

Photo of the artist behind Sweetvine, Kestrel Preston, woman with strawberry blonde hair and blue blouse standing in front of a green wall

Kestrel Preston is a Seattle-based portrait artist whose work is rooted in a deep appreciation for the beauty and individuality of the human face. Raised between the coastal neighborhood of Ballard and her family’s farm in Eugene, Oregon, her early life was shaped by both natural rhythms and a close-knit, creatively inclined family. Her work is guided by the belief that beauty is not defined by perfection, but revealed through presence, character, and light. After becoming a mother, Kestrel became increasingly aware of how fleeting life’s most meaningful seasons can be. This awareness now informs her practice, as she creates luminous oil portraits that preserve a single moment with quiet depth and permanence.Through her work, she seeks not only to capture likeness, but to honor the essence of the individual- creating pieces that feel both intimate and enduring.Kestrel lives and works in Seattle with her family.
